Partnersband Live Country music Sierra Vista Arizona

What a weekend for Partners band

Can you believe it we did 3 gigs in 24 hours...what's up with that? When it rains it pours...
First gig was in St. David. We played a private party and it was a blast. Everyone danced. There were line dancers, two steppers, and waltzes great people great food and lots of fun. The next day we played in Patagonia for their 22nd annual Fall Festival. It was terrific...lots of fun and great folks who really appreciated our music. When we were done with that gig we drove back to Sierra Vista to play at the Knights of Columbus for a Steak dinner and dance. To say we were pooped is an understatement...So I guess we covered allot of music in a short time...Life is good...

The Music Recession

Yes there is a recession for musicians all over Arizona, from Benson to Tombstone to Sierra Vista to Green Valley and Tucson. Places are closing or cutting out music all together so it's very important for people to support live music in Sierra Vista, Benson, Tombstone, Green Valley, Tucson and all of Arizona. I've always thought that one way to do that is to charge a $5.00 cover charge for each musical performance. What do you think? If we want to keep music going here in Southern Arizona this might be the new norm... http://www.partnersband.com/

Playing the right Music for the right crowd

It’s always been a challenge playing the right material for the right crowd. Bisbee and Benson Arizona likes Rock'n Roll not country. Sierra Vista is sort of a mix but Tombstone we're still trying to figure out. We played at Big Nose Kate’s Saloon this past weekend and it was sort of tough...Some wanted old country and some wanted anything...We are a country band but we can play lots of other music Too! When we figure it out we'll let you know but for not it’s a mystery...

Please support live music anywhere!

Giving Back

Today was a very special day. Partners played at the Triangle T Guest Ranch in Dragoon Arizona just outside of Benson Arizona for a huge benefit. There were so many great musicians playing today to support two really great causes, All the Kings Horse Orphanage in Benson Arizona and St. Jude's children’s research center. It was a terrific event and we were proud to be a part of it. It was really nice to see Southern Arizona entertainment at its best. Fun was had by all... including "Partners".

Why we love to play Country music

I had a friend ask me recently, what’s so great about country music? Well it’s always about people and their everyday lives. How they met and what they do. Country western music always tells a great story, the lyrics paint the picture. Just listen to country music and you'll see what we mean...Old or new country its always great entertainment...

It's just a wonderful time to be in Sierra Vista Arizona. The rain, the rain, oh yes did I say rain?
We are playing our country music this Saturday at the Triangle T Guest Ranch in Dragoon Arizona and we hope it won't rain...The gig is outside. Oh well come rain or come shine we will still be playing that good old country music.

Partners song writing

Writing a new song always comes from the heart. It's what you feel inside that really matters. Some songs are written in just a few minutes and others take longer. I personally like to write songs about people or my horse Comet. The beat of a song is very important as well. I love writing two steps and waltzes. I haven't written a line dance yet but it's coming...

Partners has been playing music at Holiday in Sierra Vista Arizona for many years now. Holiday was an RV park with a terrific Club house that is now changed to a home owner association. We are hosting the dance once a month thanks to my dear friend Sylvia who lives there. We usually play at Veterans Park in Sierra Vista but this year the park was under construction so the Festival of the Southwest was held on Post. Riding my horse Comet in the moon light

When the moon is full Bonnie's out riding her horse. There is something very peacful about riding your horse at night. I think it's the trust you build between the rider (me) and your horse (Comet). You have to remember its still night time and dark. The Moon lights up the sky about and hour into the ride. That's when you and your horse learn to trust each other and really bond. I also feel more creative. I've written many songs while riding my horse. One in particular is "Arizona on My Mind" which you can see and hear on our website www.partnersband.com Check out videos and our music. This song is all about riding your horse in Arizona. I'm sure I'll be out next month when the moon is full and the air is warm...can't wait...Happy Trails...

The musician

I'm not sure how many of you play a instrument but if you do you know how many countless hours of practice is needed. I remember when I went to music school. First I went to Pima College in Tucson, University of Arizona and Wharton College in Texas . I studied voice and piano. The work was hard and stressful especially if you being graded on your studies. So many times I would leave school saying what am I doing this for? Well now I know...Playing music is everything to me and to Ted the other half of "Partners". How cool is it fall in love with a musican and play music together. Thats what Ted and I do. We have so much fun working together. The experiences we have together are amazing. The people we play for are also amazing. We just love playing music and it shows...www.partnersband.com Thanks...

Tombstone Arizona

Well partners played in Tombstone Arizona last night at the Old Tombstone High School to an interesting crowd. We had our friendly line dancers who are great by the way, plus some of the locals who just love to dress up in their 1880's atire. We personally dress up in 1980's atire Any way we had a great time. If you ever come to Arizona Tombstone is a must see adventure...Have a great day and we'll be writing here again soon...

Being a musician has its advantages. 1. You get to sleep in 2. You get to dress-up and 3. You’re having fun. Tell me another job with such benefits? I am a keyboard player/ singer and have been all of my life. I've been there and bought the tee shirt sort of speak. I remember my Branson Missouri trip years back. There was no housing so even if you landed on a great gig where do you live? Well funny things happen. I was doing a gig just out side of Branson in Kimberling City at a bar inside the "HILLBILLY Bowling ALLEY". The owner had a few apartments up stairs. So I can say that I actually lived in a bowling alley... what a trip.
There is allot to this story so if you want hear more please email me back and I'll tell you the next half...for now be happy, healthy, wealth, wise....over and out

It was a good day

The sun is shining and its just another great day in Arizona. Well I am composing a new song which will be recorded and up soon on our website www.partnersband.com
If you have not seen our site its new and lots of fun. Playing music here in Southern Arizona is so much fun... I think people are happy here because it is so sunny. I wrote a song a few years back called "Its a Cowgirls Dream. Its on our website www.partnersband.com Its about riding your horse into great open spaces of Arizona. There is another song you might want to check out called " Arizona on my Mind also on our website www.partnersband.com This song was inspired as I was riding my late horse Sniffers...She was kind of a get up and go horse. She loved to run, run, run. She was a Morgan. The horse I have now is named Comet and he is very sweet, slow but sweet. Anyway its just another day in Southern Arizona...please check us out www.partnersband.com Happy Trails...
